A. Increasing & Decreasing
If y increases as x increases, the function is increasing. If y decreases as x increases, the function is decreasing.
If a graph is shaped like a smile, it is concave up. If a graph looks like a frown, it is concave down.
A function is discontinuous at a point if you have a lift your pencil at that point to continue drawing the function.
